Just Off The Strip: The Westin Casuarina

Many visitors to Las Vegas don't even realize that there is a Westin in town. It's not a highly publicized hotel and doesn't carry the flash and attention that the mega-resorts on The Strip do. Don't get us wrong, the 826 room Westin Casuarina is quality all the way and gets overlooked many times because of it's location.
It's overshadowed by one of it's nearest neighbors – Bally's. So, if you know where Bally's is at and would like a more quiet atmosphere while still within walking distance of all the action, the Westin Casuarina may be the hotel for you. It's exact address is 160 E. Flamingo Road. The hotel is like many Westins. It has an obvious upscale casual decor and a friendly staff. The Casuarina porvides a cozy atmosphere. Even the casino is low-key. The casino at the Westin Casuarina is a great place to meet fellow lodgers. It's also great for business travel and provides a good amount of meeting space as well. There is a pool area and a spa. We didn't take part in any of the spa services, but were told there are 15 treatment rooms, as well as a full-service hair salon. Spa Hibiscus is definitely on our list next time we visit the Westin in Las Vegas. The Westin Casuarina is a quiet and friendly escape from the typical Strip hotels!
